APTO VILA OLÍMPIA
- Descrição
- Signed by architect David Bastos, this 395m² apartment is located in the Vila Olímpia neighborhood of São Paulo, Brazil. Recently delivered by the construction company, the apartment had not been inhabited. The new owners, a couple with two teenage children, requested the restructuring of the property, with removal and displacement of walls, so that some environments were integrated and the apartment better served their needs. The social access door to the apartment and the walls of the social hall were removed to place two large pivoting leaves, which are left open for full integration of the elevators to the apartment on event days. Sliding doors to the balcony were also moved to increase the enclosed space of the social area. In addition to attention to the home, an important space for the family, who wanted a large sofa and comfortable rug to sit on the floor with cushions if necessary. The key point of the project came from the natural oak slats on the ceiling that descend through the double height ceiling, to the ceiling of the single ceiling height, creating a continuity between them. The raw Nero travertine floor contrasts with the smoked mirror. The highlights are the dining room pendant, which elevates contemporary Brazilian art, by the signature of the plastic artist Artur Lescher. And the grand piano strategically placed in the middle of the room, one of the main musical instruments of the owner, who is passionate about music. The intimate area ofthe property had four suites, which were redistributed into three. The children's bathrooms were opened into the bedrooms, the two master bathrooms were attached and a spa was created, closing off the master suite's balcony.
